Nikita Mirzani's Reply, Claims Prosecutor is Out of Ideas and Brings Personal Issues to Court

Nikita Mirzani reads her reply or response to the prosecutor's rebuttal (JPU). In the trial of the alleged extortion and money laundering case (TPPU) that ensnares her, Nikita launched a counterattack against the prosecutor, Thursday (23/10/2025).

Nikita Mirzani believes that the prosecutor is no longer focused on the substance of the case. According to her, the rebuttal read by the JPU in the previous session contained more personal attacks against her and her legal team, rather than addressing the defense notes or plea she had submitted.

"The prosecutor has run out of ideas and arguments, so in their rebuttal, they have attacked my character too much, specifically targeting my legal counsel," said Nikita in front of the panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (23/10/2025).

This mother of three continued that the prosecutor should provide rebuttals based on legal facts against her plea. However, what happened was the opposite, where she considered the prosecutor unfocused and failing to understand the defense material that she had presented with her legal team.

"The prosecutor has family problems at home that they bring to court, becoming more focused on attacking blindly. The prosecutor builds fictional narratives, fabricates trial facts, and creates many lies in composing their rebuttal," said Nikita.

At the peak, Nikita accused the prosecutor of showing arrogance and disrespecting the judiciary. This was based on the prosecutor's attitude, which she deemed accused the judge of being unfair for giving her the space to present her defense freely.

"The prosecutor has disrespected the judiciary by accusing Your Honor the Judge of being unfair, just because he gave me space to defend myself. The prosecutor has been arrogant and has shown an authoritarian mentality," she stated.

In her rebuttal, Nikita reiterated that all the charges from the public prosecutor, ranging from extortion to money laundering, were unproven. She claimed that the root of this problem actually came from the reporter, Reza Gladys, who asked for her help to improve the image of his product.

"There is not a single form of threat, coercion, extortion, let alone money laundering crime that I have committed. All these legal events began with Reza Gladys' desire to ask for my help to restore his reputation and product because it had received bad reviews on social media," said Nikita.

Previously, the Public Prosecutor charged Nikita Mirzani with a prison sentence of 11 years. The prosecutor deemed that Nikita was proven legally and convincingly guilty of extortion and money laundering together with her assistant, Ismail Marzuki, against doctor Reza Gladys.
