Nikita Mirzani couldn't hold back her tears while attending the continuation of the Vadel Badjideh case trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (2/7/2025). In that closed trial, her daughter, Laura Meizani alias Lolly, was present as a reporting witness.

Nikita admitted she was emotional when listening to her daughter's testimony directly in the courtroom. That's why, sadness came over her after realizing the actual truth. Here are the details.

"Yes, I cried because Lolly is my only child but thank God, Lolly has given her testimony, I have also given my testimony, so we just have to wait for the next process," said Nikita after the trial.

The moment is referred to as one of the touching and heavy experiences as a mother. Moreover, Lolly had to provide testimony regarding the sensitive case involving Vadel Badjideh.

"It's okay, it's just emotional because Laura wants to testify but I'm outside, as a mother I want to hear how the story goes but it's fine, I've heard it, it's okay," said Nikita.

In her statement, Nikita also did not deny the pain she felt as a single mother when hearing her daughter's story in court. "Yes, what has happened has happened," she continued.

The case involving Lolly began with Nikita's report in September 2024, where she accused Vadel of committing acts of intercourse and abortion against her child who was still underage at the time.

As a mother, Nikita feels a mix of emotions in facing this legal process. Especially since Lolly is the only daughter she has raised on her own. "Well, how can it be as a mother, especially a single parent, that's how it feels," she asserted.

The legal process will continue with the next hearing agenda awaiting the decision from the panel of judges. Vadel himself faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
