Actress Joanna Alexandra participated in the social event 28uild initiated by Habitat for Humanity. Together with other influencers and some young people, she helped build a decent house in Margamulya Village, Mauk District, Tangerang Regency, on Saturday (28/10/2023).
Joana was seen directly involved in the construction of a house. Like a professional builder, she enthusiastically sawed and installed one brick after another to form the walls of the house.
"Here I am walling. I'm very excited. This is a completely new experience, earlier I was sawing, sanding, and then arranging the stones. This is the first time, and I'm really proud that it turns out I can do it," said Joanna.
According to him, building walls is quite difficult, even with the help of a mentor. Especially since the weather was scorching hot at that time.
"The difficulty is sweating. And if it's not parallel, it has to be rearranged," said this mother of four.
Furthermore, participating in the 28uild program has been a valuable lesson for her. It has taught her to be more concerned about the conditions of the surrounding community.
"Wow, there are so many, when I entered here, I was immediately moved by the Indonesian people who don't have decent housing. Meanwhile, we in the capital city live comfortably. So being here has taught me a lot, maybe those of us who are blessed can help those in need," she said.
Therefore, Joanna doesn't care if her smooth skin is damaged even though she directly becomes a construction worker.
"That's a secondary matter compared to what we do in building houses that need it, it seems to make us more grateful," she said.
"Maybe this is just a little help that I can do, but it feels really happy to share with them," she concluded.
