Not Contesting About Property and Child Custody, Zumi Zola's Wife Just Wants a Divorce

The spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court, Cece Rukmana Ibrahim, said that Sherrin Tharia's divorce lawsuit against the former Governor of Jambi was not combined with the issue of property and child custody.

"Oh no, this lawsuit does not include a property contest and child custody contest, only a divorce lawsuit. So there is no accumulation, because accumulation would involve divorce, property contest, and child custody. Here, it's only a divorce lawsuit," said Cece Rukmana Ibrahim, spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court, on Wednesday (24/6).

2. Request for Divorce

According to him, so far Sherrin Tharia only wants to request a divorce from the man who has been involved in politics since 2011.

"Regarding the lawsuit issue, we will definitely refer to this lawsuit letter. If in this lawsuit letter, it only files a lawsuit regarding the divorce, then that is the only thing that will be examined by the panel of judges," he said.

3. New Lawsuit

Furthermore, if Sherrin wants to file a lawsuit regarding property and custody issues, she can file a new lawsuit.

"As for child custody or property issues, it can be submitted in a different court hearing. So, she can file a new lawsuit," he continued.

4. Divorce After 8 Years of Marriage

Divorce Zumi Zola and Sherrin Tharia is registered in the South Jakarta Religious Court under number 1244/Pdt.G/2020/PA.JS. Zumi Zola and Sherrin Tharia got married on March 16, 2012, after eight years of marriage, this couple has been blessed with two children.
