Not Knowing Parents Are Jailed, Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie's Children Start Questioning When They Can Sleep Together Again

Kapanlagi.com - The 1-year prison sentence given to the couple Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie for drug abuse certainly makes it longer for them to be reunited with their three children, Mikhayla Zalindra Bakrie, Mainaka Zanatti Bakrie, and Magika Zalardi Bakrie.

Because, since their arrest on July 7, 2021, they can no longer be together. However, Theresia Wienatahan, who is Nia's assistant, said that the five of them used to sleep in the same room.

1. Unaware of Parents' Imprisonment

Nia and Ardi's children only know that their parents are working outside. That's why the children are starting to question why they haven't returned home yet.

"The little ones ask, 'When is the holiday?', 'When will Mom and Dad come back to sleep?' because they used to sleep together in one bed," said Theresa Wienathan when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (20/1).

"It's been a long time since we slept together in one bed. So, they ask, 'When will you come home?' like that," Theresa added.

2. Eldest Daughter in Shock and Crying Hysterically

However, Nia and Ardi's eldest child, born in 2012, knows the true condition of both parents. That's why Theresa said that Mikhayla was shocked when she found out about the verdict imposed by the judge of the Central Jakarta District Court on her parents.

"At first, she was hysterical when she heard the one-year prison sentence, crying a lot. When she heard that her mother would go through rehabilitation, she cried even more, especially when she heard about the one-year prison sentence, she cried a lot, it was terrible," Theresa explained.

3. One-Year Prison Sentence

Indeed, previously the Public Prosecutor demanded one year of rehabilitation. However, the judge imposed a heavier sentence, namely one year of imprisonment, which was unexpected for the family.

"Everyone was shocked and very sad. Honestly, we had expectations. When we heard that the judge's sentence was one year of imprisonment. Well, we couldn't say anything, just felt sad," Tere said.

4. Already Considered

The judge sentenced three defendants to one year in prison. This decision was made after considering several aggravating and mitigating factors.

"Aggravating, the defendants' actions do not support the government's efforts to eradicate drugs, the actions of defendants 2 and 3 as public figures who should set a good example for society but behave otherwise," said the judge.

"On the other hand, the defendants' mitigating factors include no prior convictions and their admission and promise not to repeat their actions. The defendants also have family responsibilities," the judge added.

5. Nia Ramadhani's Tears

Nia Ramadhani was seen crying and wiping her tears after hearing the one-year prison sentence for drug abuse charges against her, on Tuesday (11/1/2022). The same sentence was also given to her husband, Ardi Bakrie, and their driver, Zen Vivanto.

"Imposing a criminal penalty on defendants Zen Vivanto, Ramadhania Ardiansyah Bakrie, and Aninda Ardiansyah Bakrie with one year of imprisonment each," said the chairman of the panel of judges, Muhammad Damis.

Upon hearing the verdict, the three defendants, represented by Ardi Bakrie, filed an appeal. "We will appeal," said Ardi Bakrie.
