Not Proven to Have Drugs, Police Secure Naufal Samudra to Rehabilitation Center

Kapanlagi.com - Dinda Kirana's lover, Naufal Samudra, was again detained by the police for alleged drug abuse. The 22-year-old man was detained by the police at his parents' residence in Ragunan, South Jakarta, on Friday (7/1/2022).

After further examination, the urine of this Austrian-Indonesian man was tested negative for drugs. Although the police did not detain him, Naufal was still taken to a rehabilitation center.

Dinda Kirana's lover underwent rehabilitation at the Drug Dependence Hospital (RSKO) in Cibubur, East Jakarta. After spending several days at the hospital, Naufal Samudra was allowed to go home on Sunday (16/1/2022).

In response to this case, the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol. Endra Zulfan, explained the chronology of the arrest during a press conference. "Yesterday, during the security operation, the investigators did not find any LSD powder. Then a urine test was conducted with negative results,"

"Because there was no evidence and the urine test was negative, the investigators determined his status as a witness. Today, we will also provide rehabilitation to the person involved at RSKO in Cibubur. This is an educational measure to prevent drug abuse and also in response to the restorative justice policy," he added.

2. Reasons for Naufal Samudra's Detention

As for the reasons for the police's arrest of Naufal Samudra, Endra Zulfan explained the initial incident, "The security operation against Mr. Naufal was carried out by the investigators of the Narcotics Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police in connection with the development of Mr. Ridwan's case, who we had already arrested on November 24, 2021."

"Based on the investigators' examination of the suspect Ridwan, there is digital evidence linking Mr. Naufal and Mr. Jeff Smith to the purchase of LSD drugs. Mr. Naufal had ordered LSD three times, but he did not pick up the last order," said Endra Zulfan.
