Not Wearing a Mask During the Trial, Nikita Mirzani is Reprimanded by the Panel of Judges

Kapanlagi.com - There was an interesting incident that occurred during the trial of the assault case involving the defendant Nikita Mirzani at the South Jakarta District Court today, Monday (22/6). When entering the courtroom, the mother of three was seen not wearing a mask.

As it is known, there is currently a recommendation to wear a mask when someone goes out of the house related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Seeing this sight, the Panel of Judges reprimanded Niki when she sat in the courtroom.

"Are you healthy? Where is your mask?" asked the Chief Judge to Nikita, Monday (22/6).

In response to the judge's question, Nikita explained that she was in a hurry to enter the courtroom. As a result, the mask she brought was left in the car.

Before starting the trial session, the judge wanted everyone in the room to comply with the established COVID-19 protocols. He then asked the person in the room to give Niki a mask.

"Here is a mask, never been used before," said a JPU.

"Is this a new one?" Nikita asked while putting on the mask given by the JPU.

2. Sentenced to 6 Months in Prison

After that, the trial began with the reading of the indictment by the JPU. The prosecutor decided to impose a 6-month prison sentence without detention. However, if Niki commits the same act within one year, she will immediately serve the sentence.

"Nikita Mirzani, you have lawfully and convincingly committed a criminal act or assault, as punishable under Article 351, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. Impose a sentence of six months imprisonment on Nikita Mirzani," said the JPU in South Jakarta District Court during the trial on Monday (22/6).
