Nyaman, Ari Lasso Collaborates with Pay in the Song 'Menangis Diam-diam'

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Ari Lasso has released a new solo song titled Menangis Diam-diam, written by Faizal Lubis. In the process of making the song, Ari Lasso was assisted by Pay Burman as the music arranger.

According to Ari Lasso, there is a reason why he collaborated with Pay. He admitted that he feels comfortable working with Pay since a long time ago.

"Because since 2008, my biggest singles and hits were born with Pay," said Ari Lasso in West Jakarta on Monday (22/5/2023).

1. Covering Shortcomings

Ari Lasso said that Pay could cover his shortcomings and make use of the strengths of his vocal character.

"Pay knows very well how to make use of my strengths and cover my shortcomings," added Ari Lasso.

Actually, the song 'Menangis Diam-diam' was already released by Faizal Lubis. He felt that his song could come to life more if sung by another singer.

2. Matched with Ari Lasso

Initially, Faizal Lubis wanted to offer the song 'Menangis Diam-diam' to be sung by Ariel NOAH. However, with careful consideration, the song matched with Ari Lasso instead.

"Initially, I thought of one of the singers, but in my head, Ari Lasso was a better match," said Faizal Lubis.

3. Agreed Immediately

When offered the song, Ari Lasso agreed immediately. He admitted that the lyrics of 'Menangis Diam-diam' are deep and seem to have a connection with him.

"When I heard the song, I felt a chemistry and I felt I could make it good, at least I'm satisfied," he said.

4. Doesn't Need Long Time

He was grateful that it didn't take long to conquer and give the song its soul with his distinctive voice.

"Maybe this is God's blessing that I can enter the song, immerse myself in the song. So we really have to get into it, not just rely on vocals, but the soul," he said.

5. Good Since the Beginning

Meanwhile, Pay doesn't deny that the song 'Menangis Diam-diam' was already good from the beginning. He was even more challenged to rearrange the song to make it even better.

"Basically, when I first heard it, it was already done, already great. This is a challenge for me to make it even better. The result is satisfying when I hear it. It's like hearing Ari Lasso back then, but in a modern package," said Pay.
