Happy news comes from volleyball athlete Megawati Hangestri who today married her boyfriend, Dio Novandra Wibawa, on Friday, (4/7). The wedding ceremony took place at Roudhotul Muchlisin Mosque, Kaliwates, Jember, East Java.
The wedding ceremony of Mega and Dio was held privately, attended only by the families of both brides. The couple will hold a reception on Saturday, (5/7) tomorrow in Jember.
The wedding ceremony of Megawati Hangestri and Dio Novandra Wibawa was held at Roudhotul Muchlisin, Kaliwates, Jember, East Java. Mega was married by her brother who represented the late father.
At the moment of the wedding ceremony, Dio sat alone in front of the guardian and the officiant as well as witnesses. He pronounced the marriage vows smoothly and was declared valid.
"I accept the marriage of Megawati Hangestri Pratiwi daughter of Maksum with the dowry paid in cash," Dio stated firmly.
After being declared valid in marriage, Megawati entered the ceremony area accompanied by her mother and mother-in-law. She brought a photo of her late father, which made the atmosphere emotional.
Mega looks beautiful in an all-white kebaya and carries flowers in the same hue. The long veil makes Mega's appearance different from usual.
Dio's facial expression looked tense while waiting for Mega to arrive. The wedding ceremony of this couple was broadcast live through Mega's YouTube channel and watched by thousands of people.
As they gazed at each other after officially becoming husband and wife, Megawati and Dio immediately smiled widely. They were so happy to be officially married.
To marry Mega, Dio gave a dowry in the form of a set of prayer tools, money, and gold. He provided Rp4,725,000 in cash and 8 grams of gold.
Interestingly, this couple of fellow athletes shook hands in a sports greeting style after receiving their marriage certificate. This sight made everyone laugh.
