Okan Cornelius Once Rejected 9 Soap Opera Titles, Here's the Reason..

When asked to choose, Okan admits that working in the business world is more enjoyable than the entertainment world. The factor that triggers his choice is his orientation towards the future.

"I do prefer business because it is more stable, more long term. In the entertainment industry, we are only used as long as we are needed, and once there is a replacement, we're done. So in terms of the future, I am more comfortable in business. It is more stable for my family and children," said Okan Kornelius when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Friday (13/3).

1. Busy Managing Business and Family

Currently, Okan's time is mostly spent on managing his business and his family. In Okan's eyes, business requires focus and continuous effort in order to run smoothly.

"It's already full, business and family have taken up all the time. Because we have to continuously support our own business, we have to focus on running it. Because if we're not focused, it won't run smoothly," said Okan Kornelius when asked about his busyness.

2. Rejecting Many Soap Opera Offers

When asked about his longing to act in soap operas, Okan admitted that he misses it even though it is no longer possible for him to do so. This is because Okan is responsible for the fate of hundreds of his employees and shooting soap operas takes up a lot of time. Despite receiving many offers in the entertainment industry, Okan will choose which projects are possible for him to work on without disrupting his work in the business world.

"It's not possible, especially for ongoing soap operas. Because I have hundreds of employees. So I have to focus. Maybe in the entertainment industry, I can do some emceeing, be a guest star. But if it's an ongoing soap opera, it was just offered yesterday, right? I miss it, but I have to be responsible for the business I'm currently running, so that it can succeed. But for movies, maybe I will consider it. Because movies are not every day, maybe only a month. But for ongoing soap operas, it's every day," said the husband of May Lee.
