Okan Kornelius Climbs Down the Mountain to Support His Aunt, Reports Alleged Land Mafia 'In Power in Semarang' to Bareskrim Polri!

With a serious expression, Okan showed his full support. He did not remain silent after hearing his aunt's grievances, feeling that her efforts to fight against irresponsible individuals had reached a dead end. This case involves a plot of land in Semarang that has been owned by the family for decades.

Sri Dharen, as the legal representative of Sinta Condro, explained the chronology of the protracted dispute. He stated that his client has been a victim twice regarding a 1,200 square meter plot of strategically located land.

1. Not Yet Canceled

"So this is Mrs. Sinta, she is Mas Okan's aunt. She owns a plot of land in Semarang city, on Jalan Rinjani, with an area of about 1200 square meters. She has owned this land, with its HGB decree since 1986," opened Sri Dharen.

The first problem arose when another party suddenly managed to issue a new Building Use Rights (HGB) certificate on Sinta's land. Although the perpetrator of the forgery has been legally processed, the fake certificate has not yet been canceled by the BPN until it eventually expired on its own.

"It was reported to the authorities at that time, and the forger has been processed and detained. This means that the HGB they issued is a legally defective product," continued Sri Dharen.

2. Recommendation Letter

Sinta's peak frustration occurred in 2020. A new village head in the area actually issued a recommendation letter that favored the opposing party, allowing their HGB to be upgraded to Ownership Rights. Strangely, the letter was retracted on the grounds of "mistake", which has now become the basis for their report to the Criminal Investigation Department.

"The village head even gave a recommendation letter to the opposing party, which became the reason for upgrading the HGB to ownership rights... After the non-disputed recommendation letter was issued, on the 11th of the 5th month, he retracted the statement, on the grounds of mistakenly issuing the letter. This is what became the reason for our report," asserted Sri Dharen.

3. Family Support

Okan Kornelius explained that his role is as a form of family support. He felt called to help after witnessing his aunt's ongoing struggles. Okan was also the one who connected his aunt with legal counsel to thoroughly investigate this case.

"Actually, I am here because initially someone called me and shared my aunt's long-standing distress and her deadlock situation. She understands more about land issues and other matters. Therefore, we support each other in seeking justice," concluded Okan.
