Once Ashamed of Being Bullied, Ranty Maria Now Proud to Have Freckles

Kapanlagi.com - Being of mixed Korean-Manado blood, made Ranty Maria once ashamed to be born with brownish spots on her face, commonly known as freckles. In fact, she even wanted to remove the freckles on her face through surgery.

"I was born with freckles on my face, and a lot of people always judged me for it," said Ranty Maria when met in Jakarta, Monday night (17/2).

"I remember not wanting to go to school just because I had dots on my face, and I told my mom that I wanted to have surgery to remove the freckles before going to school," she continued.

1. Still Lingering in Mind

Still lingering in his memory, the most hurtful comment about his face came from his male friends.

"Because my friends were joking, but those guys called me 'oh there's a dung beetle on his face'. It's comments like that which actually made me not want to go to school," said the girl born on April 26, 1999.

2. Having More Friends

Fortunately, she has friends who are far more supportive of her freckles than those who bully her. She becomes more confident.

"But luckily, I have friends who support me more and finally I can learn, now I'm not afraid to show my face anymore. Because I was born with this," she said.

3. Gaining More Confidence

Moreover, what makes Ranty Maria more confident is that currently fleckles makeup is highly favored and becoming a trend among women.

"Besides, now there are so many people who create freckles makeup. So I am even more proud of what I have," she said.
