Marshanda reminisces when she found an old video featuring her enjoying dancing and singing along with loud background music. The full name owner, Andriani Marshanda, also remembers the bitterness of the past when she was labeled as weird and even crazy because she had a unique way of having fun in her era. Marshanda, who is currently actively promoting self-love and body positivity, was ecstatic when she found an old video of herself in her phone gallery.
In the 3 minutes and 24 seconds video, Marshanda can be seen happily dancing and singing along to the song The Back of Your Mouth by The Used.
Marshanda's appearance was very different from now. Marshanda herself admitted that she had short hair and wore a backless dress in the video, and she looked very skinny.
However, that doesn't overshadow the beautiful memories of her having fun just by listening to music played at a high volume.
One thing that Marshanda reflects on is that at that time, recording oneself dancing and lipsyncing was not as common as it is now.
"I often feel like I live in the wrong era. Like I was born in the wrong year. So everything I do is labeled CRAZY, LOST, WEIRD, REBEL, and so on. Which, 10-20 years later, turns out to be what normal people in this world are doing, like the possession of Marshanda in the past," she said.
Seeing Marshanda's old videos, netizens immediately agreed that Marshanda became a trendsetter for dancing and lipsyncing that is now popular on the TikTok app.
They also flooded Marshanda with praise for being cool even before many people started doing it. Some were also distracted by Marshanda's beautiful face.
Although panting because she ran out of energy after expressing herself through music, Marshanda looks happy with a satisfied smile adorning her face.
