On behalf of her family, the singer of the song Sambalado sacrificed two cows to be distributed to the community around her house.

"What's important is not the feeling. There are two plump cows, yes, it's a sacrifice on behalf of the family," said Ayu Ting Ting jokingly when met at her residence in Depok, West Java, on Friday (31/7).

Usually, Ayu said that her family always slaughters their sacrificial animals at home. But not this year, because she and her family are following the government's advice to break the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"My father takes care of it. Basically, my father arranges everything. Alhamdulillah, there is provision. But this year's sacrifice is really different, usually we can have fun cutting it at home, everyone at home becomes a butcher and distributes the meat to the community, but now we can't," she said.

2. Unable to Visit Family

In addition, what makes the widow born in Depok, June 20, 1992, even sadder on the day of Eid al-Adha is that she cannot visit her family. However, for Ayu Ting Ting, what is important is that she and her family can still share with those around them, because sharing, according to her, is the meaning of celebrating Eid al-Adha.

"And the difference is that we can't visit family either. Last year, we gathered, but this year we can't. It's sad. But it's okay because the meaning of Eid al-Adha is definitely about sharing, alhamdulillah we are still given health, blessings, and provision, and this year alhamdulillah we can still perform the sacrifice. Hopefully, it will be beneficial," she concluded.
