Well, iForte and BCA tried to summarize the various cultures of Indonesia through a spectacular work of art that combines music, traditional songs, traditional dances, and traditional costumes from various regions in the country. From there, a live performance titled 'Pagelaran Sabang Merauke' was born, which was held on November 11, 2022, at Ciputra Artpreneur, South Jakarta.

Pageleran Sabang Merauke is an effort to preserve Indonesian culture, especially for young people amidst the influx of foreign cultures into Indonesia.

Through songs, traditional dances, and traditional costumes, this event serves as a reminder of the richness of our country's culture.

Not only as a means to encourage the public to love the cultural heritage of the nation, this performance is also expected to inspire the public to explore the wealth of the nation.

This event involves six national singers, including Kikan Namara, Mirabeth Sonia, Christine Tambunan, Taufan Purbo, Alsant Nababan, and young musician Swain Mahisa.

The presence of Batavia Madrigal Singers and 46 traditional and modern musicians further enlivens this performance.

Not to mention the presence of 144 professional dancers from Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali to Papua who were choreographed by Sandhidea Cahyo Narpati, Pulung Jati, Dian Bokir, and Rizky Dafin, making this event even more harmonious.

Several songs, dances, and costumes from Sumatra Island were performed afterwards. For example, the song Sik Sik Sibatumanikam.

Entering Java Island, Manuk Dadali from West Java opened the performance. Ondel-Ondel, Yen In Tawang, Gugur Gunung were a series of repertoires representing Java Island. Then, Janger became the main presentation from the Island of the Gods, Bali, combined with beautiful and enchanting dances.

From approximately one hour of performance, it is hoped that this diversity can continue to be preserved, especially by the young generation who are the hope of the nation.

The Sabang Merauke Performance is also expected to become a social movement that encourages the community, especially the younger generation, to love the cultural heritage of the nation. So that, in the future, the younger generation will be more proud of the local wisdom and cultural heritage of Indonesia.
