Lately, Nikita Mirzani seems to be involved in a series of problems. One of them is when she was reported by her ex-husband Sajad Ukra on charges of not allowing him to meet their child. When met with her lawyer, Fachmi Bachmid, at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Saturday (1/12), Nikita Mirzani seemed to report back against Sajad Ukra. However, Niki admitted that she actually didn't want this to happen.
"Initially, I didn't want to file a report. Niki didn't want any record for her parents to report, she actually wanted to avoid it but it seems like he doesn't know his limits. Now his current wife is helping too, right? So, just report it," said Nikita.
In this visit, Niki did report her ex-husband for the accusation of child neglect. Niki's side implicated Sajad under Article 67 of the Child Protection Law.
"Let's prove that it was actually you (Sajad) who neglected. This child is extraordinary, good at school, goes on vacations, and is taken care of by several babysitters. So please don't twist the truth. We don't want to report it unless we have to," she added.
In this opportunity, the woman born in Jakarta also clarified the circulating rumors. She denied prohibiting Sajad from meeting the child or having to pay.
"The problem is, he doesn't feel that he is the father of his child? He feels that there are no obligations regulated by the law and Islamic law? No need to be asked (to support the child) if he feels that this is his child," said Fachmi, Niki's lawyer.
Many also wonder why Niki is now reporting her ex-husband. The 32-year-old star admits that she wants Sajad Ukra to be aware of her struggle.
"Let his brain work. Did Niki give birth without expenses, did Niki raise the child without expenses? He said he has money but only wants to pay six million, it's so troublesome, may Allah protect us from such people. Suddenly he doesn't support the child and wants to meet him, do you think I gave birth for nothing, it's easy," she concluded.
