This news was confirmed by Richard Lee's lawyer, Razman Arif Nasution. "My client is cooperative. He was treated well, slept well there, and then I asked them," he said when met at the Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday (12/8).

Based on this, it seems that the police did not detain Richard Lee. "When asked for a statement, he cooperated well. Based on this, he was not detained," Razman continued.

Although not detained, the investigator imposed an obligation for Richard Lee to report regularly. However, Razman Arif Nasution emphasized that his client would not comply with this.

"No, because he did not commit an extraordinary crime. So, Richard Lee will be questioned, will be tried in Jakarta," he said.

Razman expressed his objection to the decision. He explained that his reaction was a manifestation of his objection.

"That's why I spoke, I didn't shout, but I conveyed my objection. That's how it went," he concluded. Dr. Richard Lee attended accompanied by his wife, Reni Effendi.

As known, the forced arrest video was uploaded by Richard Lee's wife, Reni Effendi. In the video uploaded on Instagram story, it can be seen that the police forcibly took Richard Lee. Reni was heard crying when her husband was forcibly taken out of the house.

When about to be apprehended by the police at his house located in Palembang, the man who works as a doctor initially refused to go with the police. Therefore, the police made an effort for forced retrieval.
