Frederik Kiran Soekarno Seeger is the son of the youngest daughter of the late first president of Indonesia, Soekarno, Kartika Sari Dewi Soekarno. Kiran is the child of Kartika and her late husband, Frits Frederik Seegers, who was of Dutch nationality. Kartika herself has Japanese blood from her mother, Dewi Soekarno. This means that Kiran has Indonesian, Dutch, and Japanese blood flowing through his veins.
