According to Uya Kuya, before reporting himself and Kamaruddin, the reporter should watch the show titled "Kamaruddin Simanjuntak Reveals the Mystery of J 100 Trillion Active Balance" in its entirety.
"If we are smart people, I always say to my child. If you want to make a conclusion about a show, you have to watch it completely. Don't make a conclusion from watching it halfway or from pieces. If watched completely, people will understand what Bang Kamaruddin meant," said Uya Kuya at Casa Grande Residence, Jakarta, Wednesday night (28/12/2022).
Meanwhile, Kamaruddin stated that what he said was solely criticism to improve the police's performance.
He also admitted that he would take full responsibility for his statement on Uya Kuya's podcast.
"The material in the podcast is criticism that aims to improve the performance of the police. Mas Uya is not at fault, he is only interviewing and is guaranteed by the state to express opinions and even criticize. If there is any mistake, I take 100 percent responsibility, he is only the interviewer," he said.
As is known, some time ago the coordinator of the Gerakan Rakyat Anti Hoaks (GERAH) activist, ustad Julliana, reported Uya Kuya, whose real name is Surya Utama and Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, to the South Jakarta Police.
Both of them were reported with the allegation of Article 28 (2) jo Article 45 (2) of the ITE Law, Article 14, 15, Law number 1 of 1946 jo Article 207 of the Criminal Code regarding the spread of hoax news through social media.
