The model who is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Commission IX, PKB faction, Arzeti Bilbina has been declared to pass the Public Exam for the Promotion of a Doctorate in Political Science, National University (UNAS), Jakarta.

Arzeti Bilbina successfully defended her dissertation titled "Budget Policy Politics and Conflict of Interest in Handling Covid-19 in Indonesia" and was declared to pass with a doctoral degree.

In front of six promoters, all of whom are Professors, Arzeti Bilbina presented her dissertation very well and also mastered the material presented. She was able to answer all the critical questions from the examination team regarding her dissertation.

"Alhamdulillah, the dissertation I am currently working on discusses policy politics in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. And my dissertation was well received by the examiners and declared passed as a Doctor (Dr)," said Arzeti Bilbina, at the National University in the Ragunan area, South Jakarta, on Monday (30/1/2023).

According to Arzeti, the process of obtaining a Doctorate degree is not easy. She encountered many obstacles. Moreover, the examiners of her dissertation are all professors whom she considers not easy to pass their students' dissertations.

"They are not easy to pass a dissertation, so the process is long and actually motivates us as students and finally understand what the purpose of the dissertation is. So, the understanding, the theories, and the findings that are given to the university are formed. I am grateful that I completed it at the National University, which took quite a long time for my studies since 2019," Arzeti continued.

Arzeti also acknowledged the support of her husband Aditya Setyawan (Didit) and her children and family during the five years of studying to obtain a Doctorate (PhD) degree. The motivation given by Didit kept her enthusiastic in completing the educational tasks given by the instructors (Lecturers).

"Alhamdulillah, the motivation and support from a husband, family, and children are the most important. Until meeting with the advisor and examiner, I was continuously motivated to stay enthusiastic. So, during the time of Covid, the defense was still online, but now it's face-to-face. If I couldn't answer directly, I was reprimanded there. Then, I was encouraged by my husband, children, and family to make a presentation, and Alhamdulillah, today I was declared a Doctor," said Arzeti.

Arzeti added, during the completion of her dissertation, she had to clash with time. Because observation is not like writing a thesis. According to her, it requires real focus and determination to pursue educational knowledge that can be said to be not easy.

"The more difficult it is, the more knowledge we gain, and it makes us grateful because there is a meeting point in difficulties," explained the mother of three children, Bagas, Dimas, and Gendis.
