Portrait of Ashanty's Childhood Home, Preserving Bitter Memories of Her Parents' Separation

Together with Aurel Hermansyah, they decided to visit the housing complex where they used to live. It is said that they lived in that housing complex from kindergarten to elementary school.

"This is my first house in Indonesia. When my father and mother, you know, kept moving, so I moved here (when) I was in kindergarten," said Ashanty in The Hermansyah A6 vlog.

The housing complex is located in the Villa Pejaten area, South Jakarta. What surprised Ashanty was that the complex was still the same as in the 90s when she lived there.

Ashanty herself was amazed because the big house she used to live in hadn't changed much. "This house is really big, sis. It's not much different, sis. Yes, it hasn't changed much from before," Ashanty said to Aurel. "Back then, this house was already so big, you know," Aurel added.

2. Keeping Bitter Memories

Unfortunately, this house also holds bitter memories for Ashanty. It was in this house that her parents separated.

"This house, when I was little, but the incident was a bit unpleasant for me because my parents separated in this house," she recalled. "Before my mom and dad separated, it was bad because I was very young, so I don't have many memories with them when we were still together. When we were still together, it's like there's no memory, maybe because I was still too young," she concluded.
