Nunung decided to sell valuable assets such as her house and car to meet living expenses and medical costs.
She and her husband, Iyan Sambiran, are now living in a boarding house in Pancoran, South Jakarta, with a rental cost of Rp 3.2 million per month.
"Well, just rent a place, what's important is that family matters are settled because the needs are increasing, I keep getting treatment, I must not stop my treatment," Nunung shared in the studio of Pagi Pagi Ambyar Trans Tv, Monday (24/2/2025).
Nunung, who is 61 years old, admitted that she has several illnesses that require regular treatment at a quite high cost.
"I have several illnesses, treatment is very expensive, I need medication, I need to live for my family too," she added.
For the past eight months, Nunung and her husband have chosen to live simply in a rented room. Amidst these difficulties, Nunung is also trying to rebuild her family's life in Solo by opening a food stall named SONGOSENG by Mami Nunung.
