For Nunung, as an artist, there is no such thing as retirement. As long as she is needed, she will always be enthusiastic about entertaining the audience.

"If there is someone who retires artists, then I will retire. But there is no retirement for art workers. As long as I am given health, can create, trusted by TV, and entertain, I will continue to work," she said when met in the Cawang area, Jakarta.

Moreover, this 59-year-old woman has the responsibility to support the living expenses of her 50 underprivileged family members.

"Yes, it is indeed my responsibility. That's why I am still motivated to work because I have a family to support," she said.

According to Nunung, it is understandable that she sometimes complains about being tired of working in her old age. However, she still needs income from her comedy art that she has been doing since she was young.

"If I get tired, of course, there will be exhaustion, boredom, and weariness. I have been working for more than 40 years. But, my motivation to work comes from my grandchildren and my children who are still studying. That's what keeps me going," she said.

Furthermore, in order not to be outdone by young comedians, Nunung admitted that she is not hesitant to learn from her junior how to make current jokes that are favored by the audience.

"I am happy to collaborate with young comedians. They are all talented kids, they are welcoming and good at working with me. I have to learn from them so that I don't fall behind," she said.
