Shindy Samuel explained that she has successfully lost 34 kilograms of body weight in one month. "Alhamdulillah, the progress is going smoothly. I weighed 110 kg from 144 kg. So, I lost around 34 kilos in one month," said Shindy Samuel when met in the Mampang area, South Jakarta, not long ago.
After the operation, the wife of artist Rendy Samuel admitted that she still experiences nausea. "Now I still feel nauseous, because after bariatric surgery, I can't eat much, so I haven't eaten more than two spoons, just one spoon. If I force myself to eat two spoons, I vomit three times," said Shindy Samuel.
In addition to watching her diet, Shindy Samuel has also started to exercise regularly. "By watching my diet, because her appetite hormones have been deactivated, even if I don't watch it, it will still be maintained. So now, what I do in addition to that is exercise," she said.
Since undergoing bariatric surgery, Shindy Samuel has also experienced many changes. Not only in eating habits but also in lifestyle. "Previously, I had poor self-control. So bariatric surgery is not just about eating habits, I also changed my lifestyle. At 9 o'clock, I'm already extremely sleepy without sleeping pills," she explained.
Shindy Samuel is confident that her weight can reach 50 kilograms by the end of this year. "According to the doctor, I will be 50 kg in December. So, it's not a reduction of 50. Just wait until December. I'm sure because the journal itself says it reduces 70 percent of the initial weight," she said.
During this process, Shindy Samuel receives support from her beloved husband. "Supporting and respecting your wife means that you shouldn't eat spicy food. So, I don't eat spicy food in front of him. I also support him in sports and remind him when his exercise is excessive," said Rendy Samuel.
Shindy Samuel feels very grateful because her husband always reminds and accompanies her every moment. "Of course, he is an attentive husband. The best husband," said Shindy Samuel.
He also emphasized that the surgery he underwent was not for beauty but for his health. "This surgery is to prevent the effects of obesity itself. Yesterday I couldn't walk and had to use a wheelchair, that's one of the effects of diabetes and others. So it's not cosmetic surgery but health surgery," he concluded.
