The funeral procession of Eza Gionino's mother took place at the Samaan Public Cemetery (TPU), Malang City, on Monday (10/3/2025). Ruchaiyah binti Ibrahim Musa, the mother of artist Eza Gionino, passed away in Malang City, East Java.
Eza Gionino appeared unable to contain his sadness throughout the funeral procession. He continuously accompanied the event with a face full of sorrow, showing how heavy the loss of his mother was.
In that poignant moment, Eza even went directly to the grave with two of his relatives to accompany his mother's body to its final resting place. With deep sorrow, he carried the corpse before it was finally laid into the grave.
Throughout the ceremony, Eza also helped with various stages of the burial. From arranging the position of the body to placing the covering board before the grave was filled with soil, he did everything with full dedication.
With a trembling voice and teary eyes, Eza recited the azan and iqamah before the body was buried. Several times he appeared unable to hold back his tears, lost in deep grief.
After the burial, Eza and the mourners took turns sprinkling flowers on the grave of the deceased. He then sat for a moment with a relative, reading Surah Yasin to pray for his mother.
When the media tried to interview him, Eza was not able to say much. In a soft voice, he just said, "Sorry, I am not strong enough, sorry," he said.
After scattering flowers, Eza recited a prayer for his mother. Sadness was apparent on his face, with tears held back.
Eza stayed quite a while at the cemetery, even after everyone had left his mother's grave. Eza appeared lost in thought after losing the person who gave him life.
