The funeral procession of Sudjono Kartoprawiro, father of Darius Sinathrya, went smoothly in Jogjakarta. Darius buried his father in the family cemetery in Gunung Sempu, Jogjakarta, on Friday, (23/5) yesterday.
After the burial, Donna Agnesia sweetly supported her husband. She mentioned that Sudjono's death on May 21, coinciding with Darius's 40th birthday, was a sign of the father's love for his son.
Darius Sinathrya appeared strong as he let go of his father's departure forever. Accompanied by Donna Agnesia, Darius continued to hold a photo of Sudjono Kartoprawiro, his beloved father who had passed away for good.
On the tombstone, his father's name is written in full, including his baptismal name, Simon Petrus Sudjono. This wood serves as a temporary tombstone, before it is later replaced with a permanent one at Sudjono's grave.
Sudjono was buried in the family cemetery of Darius located in Gunung Sempu, Jogja. The funeral mass was attended by family and relatives of Darius who accompanied Sudjono to his final resting place.
Through a post on Instagram, Donna Agnesia encouraged Darius. "Stay strong, dear. I know what you have done to take care of dad since he first got sick. Out of love, dad wanted to be remembered by you, leaving on your 40th birthday," wrote Donna.
Sudjono passed away on May 21, exactly on Darius's birthday, which falls on the same date. "I believe there is a good reason for all of this... Be strong beybie... You did your best for papa," Donna continued.
Sudjono suffered a stroke since 2017, but he was so eager to recover that his condition improved. However, in 2025, he suffered another stroke and was hospitalized. His condition improved for a while, until he took his last breath in Jakarta on May 21.
The funeral procession for Sudjono was solemn and smooth. Darius's two children, who are studying in Portugal, could not accompany him because they could not return to Indonesia. Farewell, Mr. Sudjono, may you find happiness in the afterlife.
