After holding the wedding vows and an intimate dinner on Monday (16/6/2025), the couple Al Ghazali and Alyssa Daguise held the ngunduh mantu on Thursday (19/6/2025) night at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). Unlike the wedding vows which were held in a Sundanese tradition, this event was organized with a strong Javanese tradition.

If the wedding vows were conducted privately, this ngunduh mantu was held in a luxurious and grand manner. The Father, Ahmad Dhani, mentioned that this event was a request from Al Ghazali himself. Every decoration in the room was deeply rooted in Javanese culture. It even resembled a wedding of Javanese aristocracy. After following Alyssa Daguise's request for an intimate and simple wedding, it was now the groom's turn to have his request fulfilled. Ahmad Dhani mentioned that Al Ghazali himself requested a grand ngunduh mantu ceremony with a strong Javanese cultural theme.

Meisya Siregar, a celebrity who was also one of the invited guests, showcased the atmosphere of the ngunduh mantu location through a video she uploaded. The guests were immediately invited to enter a hallway filled with photos of Javanese kings and family photos of Ahmad Dhani in various costumes.

At the end of the hallway, there were two guards dressed in uniforms resembling those of the Jogja Palace workers. This detail added to the impression of a Javanese noble wedding.

After passing through the hallway, the invited guests entered the event location and were greeted with various pre-wedding photos of Al and Alyssa.

There are also pre-wedding photos of Al and Alyssa wearing traditional Javanese attire. In the photo shared by Irfan Hakim, they both look like a Javanese noble couple.

The Javanese cultural atmosphere does not stop there. Before the bride and groom enter the event location, there is a procession of dancers. This tradition aims to ward off any negative energy that could disrupt the smooth flow of the wedding reception.

Although rich in Javanese atmosphere, there is also a modern touch included in this Ngunduh Mantu event, which is the presence of live wedding painting. This is quite interesting as it is not widely done in Indonesia.
