Vadel Badjideh, who attended the trial, showed a calm expression as the presiding judge read the verdict. He was declared legally and convincingly guilty of two serious criminal offenses charged against him. This case has attracted public attention since it was reported by Nikita Mirzani.

In his considerations, the judge stated that Vadel's actions met the criminal elements outlined in the public prosecutor's indictment. He was proven to have violated Article 81 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 82 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, Article 77A paragraph 1 of the Child Protection Law, and Article 348 of the Criminal Code.

"Declaring the defendant Vadel Al Fajar alias Fadel has been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a crime by deliberately engaging in deceit and a series of lies to commit sexual intercourse with the child victim as stated in the first indictment, and the crime of performing an abortion on a woman with the woman's consent as stated in the second alternative indictment of the public prosecutor," said the Chief Judge during the verdict session at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Wednesday (2/10/2025).

The sentence imposed is lighter than the prosecutor's demand, which previously requested the judge to sentence Vadel to 12 years in prison. In addition to imprisonment, Vadel is also burdened with a large fine, which if not paid will be replaced with a prison sentence.

"Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to 9 years in prison and a fine of 1 billion rupiah; if the defendant is unable to pay, it will be replaced with a 3-month prison sentence. It is determined that the period of arrest and detention already served by the defendant is deducted from the imposed sentence. The defendant is to remain in custody," said the Chief Judge.
