Content creator Meicy Villia or Vilmei is one of the celebrities who came directly to Aceh to help residents affected by the floods. She shared moments of her journey to Aceh through Instagram and showed the emergency conditions faced by the residents.

Vilmei arrived in Aceh and immediately shared the atmosphere of her arrival on Instagram as part of the flood relief efforts. She showed how the situation in the area was in a state of emergency.

Vilmei explained that Aceh is facing a total blackout of electricity and signal. She added that clean water is also very scarce. “Electricity, signal, everything is completely down. Clean water is also running low,” said Vilmei.

Before reaching the flood point, Vilmei had a video call with her team who were already at the scene. From the video call, she saw that the area had been covered in mud. Seeing the dire conditions firsthand made her even more determined to act quickly. She decided to come herself because communication was hindered due to the loss of signal.

Before departing, Vilmei mentioned that the total donations were still around 148 million. However, within just two hours, the donations grew to 100% or around 300 million. He hopes that the donations can continue to increase until reaching the target of one billion.

Vilmei emphasized that the funds raised will not only be allocated to Aceh. He assured that all areas affected by the floods will also receive aid distribution. “We allocate funds to all flood-affected areas. So it’s not just Aceh, but Medan, Sibolga, Padang, all regions that are impacted,” said Vilmei.
