Portrait of Zaskia Adya Mecca's Child Being Hospitalized for Almost a Week Until Being Admitted to the ICU, Guided to Say 'Laa Ilaaha Illallah'

Zaskia Adya Mecca and her husband, Hanung Bramantyo, were recently worried when one of their sons, Bhai Kaba Bramantyo, had to be hospitalized due to asthma. Zaskia, who is usually called Bia by her children, shared her feelings about seeing her son lying weak.

Here are photos of Bhai Kaba during his hospitalization until he could go home. It's nerve-wracking!!

Zaskia shared that Kaba was hospitalized for almost a week, including two days in the ICU, due to pneumonia which made her anxious and unable to think clearly. Kaba had an asthma attack on Thursday night (30/5/2024).

Short and weak breaths from Kaba, causing Zaskia to tremble as she guides her son to say 'Laa ilaaha illallah'. After that, Zaskia becomes even more panicked when Kaba has to be moved to the ICU.

Zaskia also admits that she feels like floating when she has to sign for the installation of the ventilator and is explained how to install it if Kaba's breathing is unstable.

One thing that strengthens Zaskia is that she immediately searches for news about Palestine and how parents and children are being tested there. Zaskia doesn't complain because she feels that her test is incomparable to those in Palestine.

The next day, Zaskia could no longer hold back her tears when her parents came and hugged her after previously trying to appear cool in front of Kaba. Zaskia felt more at ease when Hanung came from Jogja because there was a friend to share her feelings with.

After two days of being treated in the ICU and not experiencing asthma attacks anymore, Kaba was brought back to the inpatient room. Zaskia was grateful for the many prayers, food, and gifts that could distract Kaba from his breathlessness.

On Monday night (2/6/2024), the doctor allowed Kaba to go home while receiving outpatient care, being monitored, and undergoing many therapies. Zaskia hopes that her son will not experience pneumonia again.

Recover quickly, Kaba. Hopefully, after this, you will always be healthy and happy!
