Zumi Zola became one of the convicts of a corruption case who received parole. The former actor and Governor of Jambi had been in prison since April 2018. While in custody, Zumi Zola was sued for divorce by his wife, Sherrin Tharia. The Religious Court granted Sherin's lawsuit and they divorced in August 2020.

One of the things Zumi Zola did was to spend time with his two children and his ex-wife. This was known through Sherrin's social media post.
Although they have divorced, Sherrin and Zumi Zola still maintain a good relationship. The picture of Zumi Zola together with his child and ex-wife immediately garnered comments from netizens.
"Happy to see all of you gathered again. Greetings to everyone, my dear," wrote a netizen. "Alhamdulillah. Always be happy, mother and father," added another netizen.
"Happy to see their smile," wrote Sherrin in the caption of her post.
Zumi Zola married Sherrin Tharia on March 16, 2012. From that marriage, they were blessed with two sons.
Unfortunately, their marriage ended in August 2020. Disputes and lack of attention are believed to be the reasons why Sherrin filed for divorce from Zumi Zola.
After the separation, Sherrin became a strong single mom raising her two children. Sherrin's two children are now growing up and will soon enter school age.
