Putri Marino once again showcases her acting performance in the film titled THORN FOG. In this film directed by Edwin, she plays a character named Sanja Arunika, a police officer stationed at the border between Indonesia and Malaysia. THORN FOG is an original Netflix film that will be released starting August 1, 2024.
To portray the character of Police Inspector Two, Putri underwent a reading process with other actors. Not only that, she was given the opportunity for a day to talk with a police officer who had previously worked at the border.
"To delve into the character of this film, I was given a month and a half for the reading process. Before shooting, there was a day to talk with police officers who had previously worked at the border," said Putri when met at Metropole XXI, Pegangsaan area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (31/7/2024).
To bring the character of a police officer to life, Putri Marino cut her hair very short. The hairstyle itself was based on discussions with the director and several revisions. According to Putri, it was no problem for the role entrusted to her.
"Indeed, the character requires short hair, so it had to be cut," said the wife of actor Chicco Jerikho.
The initial idea for making this film was developed from research conducted by anthropologist Dave Lumenta about the border areas in Kalimantan during the transition from the New Order to Reformasi.
The film tells the story of Sanja Arunika, a police officer who is investigating a serial murder case on the border of Indonesia and Malaysia.
In addition to Putro Marino, KABUT BERDURI features Lukman Sardi, Yoga Pratama, Yusuf Mahardika, and Nicholas Saputra.
