Positive Covid-19 Despite Following Health Protocols, Indro Warkop: I'm Very Compliant But Still Got Infected

Kapanlagi.com - Another Indonesian celebrity has been declared infected with Covid-19. After Bunga Citra Lestari, this time one of the legendary comedians, Indro Warkop also announced that he tested positive for Covid-19. 

He conveyed this news directly through his personal Instagram account. In his statement, the 63-year-old comedian revealed that he may have been infected with the virus due to his weakened immune system. In the past week, he had not left the house at all and only interacted with his family. 

"Assalamualaikum warohmatullah wabarokatuh. I want to inform you that based on my PCR test on June 22, 2021, I tested positive for Covid-19. I haven't met anyone outside my family for the past week, maybe my immune system is weakened," Indro Warkop shared on his Instagram on Wednesday (23/6/2021). 

"If anyone feels the need to get tested because they have interacted with me, please do so. My family members have just undergone PCR tests again (yesterday they all had antigen tests, because coincidentally, we had a schedule for swab tests at home and the results were negative", he added.

1. Prayer Request

Shortly after being declared positive for covid-19, Indro Warkop immediately undergoes self-isolation at home under the supervision of doctors regularly. He also requests prayers for a speedy recovery. 

And he hopes that with the vaccine he has received, it can help and accelerate the recovery. 

"Please pray for a speedy recovery and no severe symptoms. Hopefully, the vaccine works to help recovery and currently I am in self-isolation in a separate room at home under regular doctor's monitoring," he said. 

2. Very Compliant with Health Protocols

One thing emphasized by Indro Warkop after being declared positive for covid-19, he asks the entire Indonesian community to continue to follow health protocols. 

Not without reason, Indro himself admitted that he can still be exposed to covid-19, even though he has been very compliant with health protocols. 

"Come on everyone, tighten health protocols. I am very compliant and can still get it. Keep fighting, Covid warriors!," he explained. 

3. Hopefully the Pandemic Ends Soon

Comedian who is part of the Warkop DKI group also hopes that this pandemic can quickly pass.

"Hopefully the pandemic quickly passes.. The fewer people ignore health protocols and the more people are willing to get vaccinated. Protecting each other. I don't reply to comments but I read them one by one, want to have spirit and focus on health first. Pray that it will be asymptomatic and test negative. Stay safe & healthy," he said.
