Previously Not Religious, Roy Geurts Decides to Convert to Islam Not Because He Wants to Marry Cita Citata

Kapanlagi.com - The decision of Roy Geurts to convert to Islam has received many negative comments from netizens. Cita Citata's boyfriend Cita Citata is considered to have converted religions only because he wants to get married, not from the heart.

Cita Citata clarified the misconception from netizens who do not know the real issue. One of them is Roy's previous status of not worshiping any religion.

"So I also want to give a little information, that many people are actually surprised and don't know that in Europe it is normal to have no religion," said Cita on her YouTube channel.

Roy then revealed that in his country, many children are born without a religion. Their parents and many other parents in the Netherlands allow their children to choose their own beliefs when they understand.

"Many are born like me. Both of my parents are religious, but they chose not to give me any religion. And they said, you have to find it yourself. I think this is a good thing. I am very happy with the decision they made," said Roy.

"So you can choose, right?" Cita replied.

"Yes," Roy answered.

2. Learning a Lot

Since a few months ago, Roy has been diligently studying Islam and he has been asking several friends. Everyone gives him knowledge, but never forces him to convert to Islam.

"Yes, and I have been in Indonesia for almost 5 years. Muslims/Islam is very big here. I feel happy when I am here. I have many siblings. My friends give a lot of information and never force me at all. Even though they provide information about their religion, they leave the decision to me," explained Roy.

3. Not Because of Cita

Cita again emphasized that Roy's decision to convert to Islam is not because of changing religion. And certainly not because he wants to marry Cita.

"It is clear that Roy did not change his religion, but he chose to become a Muslim," said Cita.

"So now how do you feel after I converted to Islam. I became a convert and you have a Muslim boyfriend now?" asked Roy.

"Hahahaha, my feelings are certainly touched, I am happy and I am very proud of you, my dear. You did choose to become a Muslim, not because of me. Not because we want to get married either. But truly from the depths of your heart, it is indeed a calling to become a Muslim. My hope is that our future marriage goes smoothly. Even during this pandemic," said Cita.

"Not because of anyone," Roy emphasized.
