Proceeds from the Sale of Billy Syahputra's Luxury Car to DNA Pro Boss Not Confiscated, Here's Why

The connection to his ex-girlfriend Amanda Manopo was due to a transaction of selling and buying a car worth Rp 1 billion with Stefanus Richard or Steven Abe, the boss of DNA Pro at the end of 2021.

Therefore, because the buying and selling matter has been settled, the investigators of Bareskrim Mabes Polri decided not to seize the money from the sale of Billy Syahputra's car from DNA Pro boss Stefanus Richard.

"There is a car that was seized," said Fahmi Bachmid, Billy Syahputra's lawyer, after undergoing questioning at Bareskrim Mabes Polri, South Jakarta, on Thursday (28/4).

The investigators did not seize the money from the sale of the luxury car because Billy Syahputra's late brother Olga Syahputra's car had already been transacted.

"And in civil law, buying and selling movable objects is legal, because there has been a handover," he said.

Therefore, Billy Syahputra is not obliged to return the money from the sale of his luxury car to Bareskrim Polri to be seized and used as evidence.

"So only that was seized by the investigators. The car obtained from the sale, not the money," concluded Fahmi Bachmid.

2. There are 122 Victims

As known, 122 people who claimed to be victims of the DNA Pro trading robot platform reported to the Bareskrim Polri on Monday, March 28, 2022.

The report was registered with number B/185/IV/RES.2.1/2022/Dittipideksus on the alleged case of fraud disguised as DNA Pro binary option trading.

3. Losses Reach Rp97 Billion

As many as 56 people have been reported to the police, consisting of founders to commissioners of DNA Pro. From the case, the police estimated that the temporary losses of the victims reached Rp97 billion.

Meanwhile, the police have already named 12 suspects in the alleged fraud case via DNA Pro trading robot, including Stefanus Richard.
