Many people protested to Luna Maya and Maxime Bouttier because they were not invited to their wedding. One of them is Indra Bekti, who claimed to have been friends for decades but did not receive an invitation.
Through a YouTube show on TS Media, which is her channel, Luna revealed the reason behind the limited number of invitations distributed. One of the reasons is the cost, which is not cheap.

Luna Maya and Maxime Bouttier faced criticism for inviting only a few guests to their wedding. Friends and family expressed their disappointment for not being able to witness Luna's wedding in person.
Luna and Maxime acknowledged this and revealed that they indeed received a lot of complaints. "Many (people complained)," said Luna, "Unfortunately (yes, unfortunately)," replied Maxime in the TS Media YouTube show released on Tuesday, (6/4).
Luna admitted that she couldn't invite many people due to several reasons. One of them was the limitation of the venue. "Because of the capacity," said Luna.
Additionally, Luna also mentioned costs as a reason, "Secondly, because of money," she continued. "The more people, the more expensive. We can only afford this much," said Luna.
Nevertheless, Luna and Maxime expressed their gratitude for the prayers that have been given to both of them. Especially since some even fasted, and even gave charity to others for Luna.
Regarding the invited guests, Luna mentioned that there were 250 guests at each moment of their wedding event which was held over 3 days. The invitations distributed were 125 sheets, while the guests who attended were double that number.
"If we talk about the invitations, there are 125, not many. If we consider Jakarta, that's not many. It's already intimate," said Luna. "Actually, I initially wanted it to be just intimate. Like 10 people or so," replied Maxime.
