Publish Poetry Collection Book 'You Are Not Special', Natasha Rizky Denies Taking Inspiration From Personal Life

Kapanlagi.com - Following the success of Catatan Kronik, Natasha Rizky returns with her second collection of poetry books titled You Are Not Special. The selection of the title apparently intentional to prick people who often feel the most suffering.

"The title of this book is a metaphor that we are not the only creatures of Allah who are tested. So, never feel the most suffering alone because all creatures created by Allah will definitely be tested," said Natasha when met at Gramedia Grand Indonesia, Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Friday (2/2/2024).

1. Not Discussing Personal Issues

Unlike the collection of poetry book Catatan Kronik which is based on personal stories, Natasha Rizky said that what is contained in Kamu Tidak Istimewa is more universal. She did not draw from personal experiences but from people around her.

"This book is not about me and Natasha Rizky's life story. I draw inspiration from close people, children, even people I don't know," Natasha emphasized.

2. Writing Poetry in Two Months

Natasha Rizky revealed that the making of the poetry collection book Kamu Tidak Istimewa was quite fast, only two months. This is because of the deadline from the editor who wanted to provide illustrations for the book to make it more interesting.

"Alhamdulillah, because of the editor's deadline request, Allah made it easy for me to make it quickly. There are a total of seventy-six poems and they were completed in just two months to expedite the illustration process. Because if I write poems for a long time, the illustrations will also take a long time," she explained.
