"I used to be as dark as Meisya, scruffy like a neglected child because I was still young and didn't know how to take care of myself. But after high school, I started taking care of myself, doing facials, and even getting whitening injections to be as fair as my mother. I used to wonder why my mother was beautiful while I was ugly, looking like an adopted child, but now people say I look like I've had surgery, different from when I was little," Meggy continued.

Meggy promised to take her daughter for treatments when she grows up. She also reminded haters to be mindful of their words so as not to hurt others, especially those they don't know.

"People keep commenting. With each treatment, I will eventually change. Then I tell Meisya that when you grow up, Mama will take you to a beauty clinic so that you'll be fair and beautiful, no matter what people say about Meisya. Do you realize that your harsh words hurt and can damage the mental well-being of children you don't even know? Meisya said, 'Mom, why do I have to wear makeup? I'm still young, Mom.'
