Questioned with 31 Questions, David NOAH Denies Embezzling Rp 1.1 Billion

Kapanlagi.com - David Kurnia Albert Dorfel, also known as David NOAH, finally responded to the summons of the Jakarta Metro Police to undergo questioning regarding the alleged embezzlement of Rp 1.1 billion. David, who has been under interrogation since Tuesday (24/8) afternoon, only came out of the Jakarta Metro Police's Directorate of General Crime Investigation building at around 19:00 WIB.

"There were about 31 questions. The questions revolved around where he knew (the person involved), what the chronology was like, only that," said Hendra Prawira, David NOAH's legal counsel, after the questioning.

During the interrogation, the NOAH keyboardist also denied all accusations made by Lina Yunita, the complainant. According to Hendra, this case is purely business.

"There is no embezzlement. For David personally, there is no embezzlement, let alone fraud. It's all purely business, not like what has been heard so far," said Hendra.

1. Already Established Communication with the Reporter

Meanwhile, David NOAH didn't say much. The former husband of Gracia Indri only said that he had previously tried to establish communication with the reporter to resolve the issue.

"We have been communicating since the beginning," said David.

"We have established communication, mediation to reach an agreement long before the reporter made the report. Our intention is to have peace and resolve it in a family manner," added Hendra.

2. Chronology of the Case

As is known, the case involving David began when David and his two friends asked for assistance from Lina Yunita as the reporter to fund a shipbuilding project at his company, PT A, in 2019, worth Rp 1.15 billion.

David and his two friends promised to return the money within approximately 3 to 6 months. However, David and his two friends have not yet returned the money.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Metro Jaya Regional Police. The report against David was registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Metro Jaya Regional Police on August 5, 2021. David and his friend were reported under Article 372 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) and Article 378 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).
