The tragic accident incident involving the Commuter Line KRL and the long-distance train Argo Bromo Anggrek at East Bekasi Station on Monday (27/4) night drew public attention.
This event became widely discussed on social media after a series of KRL experiencing disruptions was struck by the fast train.
In the midst of the evacuation process, the presence of public figure Raffi Ahmad at the scene at 23:10 WIB surprised many parties.
Raffi, who came with a limited entourage, was seen directly monitoring the conditions on the ground and checking on the victims who were receiving medical treatment from the joint officers
"Oh, I just spontaneously came last night in the name of humanity. Then there I just visited the victims there," said Raffi Ahmad when met in the Warung Buncit area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (28/4/2026).
"And yes, now the evacuation, thank God, is all done. For more complete data, you can ask the related parties," Raffi Ahmad added.
Raffi explained that his arrival was purely out of empathy for the passengers who were injured as a result of the train collision.
Nagita Slavina's husband also felt relieved because the process of transferring the carriages and evacuating the victims has been successfully completed by the authorities since early this morning.
"Hopefully this disaster can serve as a lesson for everyone. So let's pray that everything can be better moving forward," he said.
On the same occasion, Raffi was also asked about his plans to provide personal assistance for the victims' families, but Raffi Ahmad chose not to disclose the details. "Yes, thank you. Thank you everyone," concluded Raffi Ahmad.
