The news was reinforced when Raffi Ahmad uploaded a photo together with the President of Cilegon United, Yudhi Apriyanto, businessman Rudy Salim, and Deputy CEO of Garuda Indonesia, Donny Oskaria. In the photo, Raffi can be seen holding a folder with the Cilegon United logo.
"Please pray for us. Bismillah," wrote Raffi Ahmad on his Instagram account @raffinagita1717, Sunday (28/3).
Lately, Raffi Ahmad has been enjoying playing football with fellow artists who are members of Selebritis FC. Ibnu Jamil, as one of the members of Selebritis FC, congratulates Raffi Ahmad on his reported purchase of a football club.
"Wow, congratulations to Raffi Ahmad for buying a football club. Welcome to the world of Indonesian football. Hopefully, with Raffi Ahmad's presence, Indonesian football can further develop its industry and achievements," said Ibnu Jamil in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday (29/3).
Although there has been no official statement from Raffi Ahmad regarding the purchase of Cilegon United FC, Ibnu Jamil has heard signals of Raffi Ahmad's intention to buy a football club for the past two weeks.
"It's been about 2-3 weeks. He just mentioned signals that he wants to do something for Indonesian football. As friends, we support the advancement of Indonesian football if he is interested," he concluded.
