Narji has indeed rarely performed on television. Now, he seems to be focusing on entering politics.
This comedian from Losari, Brebes, Central Java has submitted himself as a candidate for parliament in the 2024 election.
Narji will run in the Jateng X electoral district, which includes Batang, Pekalongan, Pemalang, and Kota Pekalongan. "My aspirations are not many, just in my electoral district in Central Java, which is agriculture. In that area, young people in agriculture seem to have no source of income in their village. Let's find income together in our village," said Narji to reporters at the KPU RI office in Jakarta on Monday (8/5), as quoted from merdeka.com.
Through his Instagram account, Narji frequently socializes with his community while campaigning to become a legislative candidate.
Recently, he also made a video on Instagram with several political figures. He intends to register as a legislative candidate as stated in his Instagram caption.
"With the blessing of Allah and our good intentions, #partaipks is registering the candidate in #kpupusat. May Allah SWT bless us and make it easy for us in 2024 #pks #kpu" wrote Narji in his latest Instagram caption.
From his latest post, Narji received support and prayers from several netizens as stated in the comment section.
