Reading Session of Jerinx SID's Defense Note Marked by Peaceful Action from Outsiders

Kapanlagi.com - Musician I Gede Aryastina, or familiarly known as Jerinx SID, was demanded two years imprisonment and a fine of Rp. 50 million or an additional three months in prison for the case of electronic media threats against Adam Deni by the Public Prosecutor of the Central Jakarta District Court.

Feeling unsatisfied with the prosecutor's demand, Jerinx's party will read the defense note or plea in today's session, Tuesday (22/2/2022). Jerinx's attorney, Sugeng Teguh Santoso, stated that they are ready to read the defense note in the trial.

"We are ready with the defense. We are prepared. We will read it at 2:00 PM," said Sugeng to reporters on Tuesday (22/2/2022).

When entering the courtroom, Jerinx greeted the fans. He even shook hands with the fans sitting in the courtroom.

1. Defense Note Based on Strong Reasons

In the defense note, they requested for the drummer of the band Superman Is Dead to be released. According to Sugeng, based on legal facts, the prosecution's demands cannot ensnare his client.

"Yes, we request for his release because there are enough reasons. Yes, he (Jerinx) will read it himself," said Sugeng.

2. Loyal Fans Giving Support

In this trial, it will be colored by a peaceful action carried out by the fans of the band Superman Is Dead, namely Outsider. This action is held to provide support to Nora Alexandra's husband.

"To provide moral support to Jerinx as Jerinx's fans so that he remains strong (in undergoing the legal process). Secondly, that Outsider is not barbaric, because the peaceful action also provides gifts to the community," said Sugeng.

3. The Beginning of the Problem

The problem between Jerinx and Adam Deni began when the social media activist responded to Jerinx's post on Instagram. Adam is known to have asked for evidence of a list of artists who received endorsements to admit to having Covid. Unfortunately, Jerinx responded harshly.

Shortly after, Jerinx's Instagram account disappeared and the Superman Is Dead member accused Adam Deni of being behind it all. Jerinx had communicated with Adam using harsh words. The recording of the conversation became the basis for Adam to bring the alleged threat case to the legal realm.

Jerinx is charged with violating Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45B of the ITE Law, as well as Article 27 Paragraph (4) in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (4) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE. Nora Alexandra's husband faces a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

4. Jerinx Once Wanted to Commit Suicide

Facing this unresolved case, Jerinx wanted to end his life after having problems with Adam Deni. Fortunately, Jerinx was saved by his wife, Nora, who prevented her husband's desperate act.

"Sorry, it's a bit dark. We almost committed suicide. My wife and I felt completely lost and confused because we had no money, prison was waiting again, we were really at our lowest point. Mr. Gendo witnessed what I did, he saw the scars. Luckily, I was saved by my wife at that time, so I can still breathe today," said Jerinx SID.

5. Jerinx SID Wants to Report Adam Deni Back

Sugeng himself as Jerinx SID's legal representative said that they have three strong pieces of evidence if their client agrees to report Adam Deni back. However, Jerinx and his legal advisors are still carefully considering the plan to report back to the rival because the legal advisors do not want to rush to take steps.

"First, Adam Deni's statement stating that the recording was done using Asus, which is contrary to the results of digital forensics. Second, we have evidence of two expert witnesses, and we have evidence of the letter from digital forensics. Well, that's three pieces of evidence," said Sugeng.
