Receiving Many Criticisms, Ari Lasso Cleans Instagram from Netizens who Only Visit

Especially after the rampant accusations that Ari has become 'alay' (slang for cringey) since becoming a YouTuber and is said to be leaving music. The former vocalist of Dewa 19 has decided to filter his followers so that his Instagram is not filled with haters who only visit.

Ari revealed this when chatting with Luna Maya and it was aired on YouTube @Luna Maya today, Wednesday, (8/7). After a fairly long conversation, Ari talked about followers on social media.

1. Cleaning Up Instagram

"I am cleaning up Instagram from people who don't actually want to follow me," said Ari.

"Huh, what do you mean?" Luna asked.

"Well, there are many people who just follow out of curiosity, just to criticize, or just to leave a comment when, for example, we cross paths like this, automatically some of your followers end up on my page, just visiting. So, how is Ari Lasso?" Ari explained.

2. Filtering with Content

Ari wants to filter his followers with content related to music, as expected by many people. And it's true, he gets fewer likes when he shares content like that.

"Or those who only know me as a judge, but don't know how I am in Dewa. There are many netizens like that. Netizens often just drop by. I'm cleaning that up, really filtering. I provide film content every day. I have Tuesday Truth, I have Friday Fact, I have Sunday School, I have Midnight Madness, all of which have fewer likes," he explained.

3. Stay Music

With content about music on his Instagram page, Ari can assess which followers are truly his fans and which are just passing by. Because there are many netizens who tell him to go back to music, thinking that he will fully become a YouTuber.

"So I'll let you know, there are people who say Ari Lasso back to music, many think I left music because I became a YouTuber. Well, no," Ari firmly stated.
