Released from Prison during the Pandemic, Saipul Jamil Tells the Story of Being Locked Down First

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Saipul Jamil is finally officially released from prison today, Thursday (2/9) after 5 years serving a sentence for bribery and sexual misconduct cases. The 41-year-old singer is extremely happy to be able to breathe the free air again.

Coming out of Cipinang Prison, Saipul was welcomed by his family and also his close friend, Indah Sari. Speaking to the media, Bang Ipul, as he is affectionately called, shared a little about his experience behind bars.

"Imagine, I have been locked up for almost five years and seven months. I was the first one to be locked down before the lockdown. If it's a lockdown at home, it's better because I can order food," said Saipul Jamil at Cipinang Prison, East Jakarta, Wednesday (2/9/2021).

"Here, the food is just average provided by the government. But the food is delicious, the important thing is that I am healthy," continued the former wife of Dewi Perssik.

Not only that, the singer who is familiarly called Bang Ipul also expressed gratitude to his friends who have supported him during his time in prison. As is known, many artists have often visited him in the prison, including his ex, DePe.

"Thank you for praying for Bang Ipul until now. Thank you to artist friends for supporting me, Inul, Ramzi, my ex-wife, Dewi Persik. Thank you also to those I cannot mention one by one," he continued.

In addition, Saipul Jamil is also very grateful to be free from prison and still be given good health. "I always pray to Allah, Allah gives me strength so that I can come home in good health, still have a life, and still be able to make the people I love happy," he concluded.

2. Nazar Saipul Jamil After Being Released

Bang Ipul himself apparently has a vow after being released from prison, such as visiting his parents' graves and going to the beach with his friend, Indah Sari.

"God willing, today I want to visit the grave so I want to fulfill my vows first, so when I'm there, Indah and I will enjoy the beach atmosphere," he concluded.
