Kapanlagi.com - The vocalist of the band Radja, Ian Kasela, still remembers clearly when his band performed for the first time at Synchronize Fest 2019. Speaking to Kapanlagi.com, Ian shared that during their performance at Synchronize Fest 2019, he and the other Radja members were not confident.
Moreover, most of the audience present at that time were young people who were enjoying indie music. It was not during the era when Radja emerged in the Indonesian music industry.
Ian was initially not confident because he was afraid that the audience present did not want to see Radja's performance on stage. What Ian feared even more was that Radja performed during crucial hours, namely at 01.00 AM. Not only that, Ian's anxiety was further heightened when Radja performed after Iwan Fals took the stage.
"That moment on stage, honestly all the kids were silent, wondering how it would be, feeling uncomfortable. Scary, pleasantly scary. Because we performed at half past midnight. And then, after Iwan Fals, the audience sat down, that made me a little nervous, damn scared," said Ian Kasela to Kapanlagi.com, Wednesday (8/4/2020).
"That's why I talked to Gofar, I told him what I was afraid of, not because of me or my friends, but because I brought my kids. I don't want it to be implanted in their minds, in case they encounter something unwanted. But the result was crazy," continued Ian Kasela.
After getting on stage, Ian Kasela's fear instantly changed drastically, he was so happy. It turns out, thousands of Synchronize Fest 2019 audience were waiting for Radja's performance on stage. Of course, this surprised Ian Kasela, all the audience sang along to Radja's songs.
What's even more surprising is that the ones enjoying Radja's performance at Synchronize Fest 2019 are not only the big audience from the early 2000s. However, the current audience also joined in singing.
