Remembering the Late Uje When Becoming Adiba Khanza's Wedding Guardian, Abidzar Al Ghifari: This is What It Feels Like to Be a Father

Kapanlagi.com - Abidzar Al Ghifari acted as the guardian in his sister's wedding, Adiba Khanza with Egy Maulana Vikri. Replacing the late father figure, Ustaz Jefri Al Buchori (Uje), Abidzar Al Ghifari admitted feeling nervous but grateful that the wedding ceremony went smoothly.

“I was really nervous but Alhamdulillah it went smoothly because I was helped by several things. Alhamdulillah it went smoothly,” said Abidzar Al Ghifari, who was met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Sunday (10/12).

1. This is What It Feels Like to Be a Father

Being a wedding guardian for the first time, of course, this is a new experience and can be a lesson for Abidzar Al Ghifari in the future. He feels like a father who is marrying off his daughter.

“The nervousness is different this time compared to anything I've ever felt before. Especially since she is my own sister, so it's something completely new for me and something that can also be a lesson for me, 'oh, this is what it feels like to be a guardian, to be a father.' Maybe it feels similar to that,” he said.

2. Remembering the Late Uje

Before the wedding ceremony and throughout the event, Abidzar Al Ghifari surely remembers his late father. Moreover, he remembers the message his father gave during his lifetime, which was to witness all of his children getting married.

“Of course, I remember my late father because he used to say that he wanted to witness all of us getting married,” said Abidzar Al Ghifari.

3. Feeling the Presence of Uje

Although Uje is no longer here, Abidzar Al Ghifari, as well as his mother Umi Pipik, still feel the presence of Uje until now. Including during Adiba's wedding.

"I feel that abi never breaks his promises, until now he still watches over us, still sees Adiba getting married, and even until later, me, Ayla, Bilal, the late Uje will definitely witness us getting married," said Abidzar Al Ghifari.

"It feels like (the late Uje) is here," added Umi Pipik.
