Kapanlagi.com - Influencer Ayu Wisya has been accused of defaming the late Vanessa Angel's father, Doddy Sudrajat, through the content of a video she created. It was because of that video that Ayu Wisya was reported by Doddy Sudrajat to the Jakarta Metro Police on Friday (12/1) for alleged defamation.
Ayu herself is not too concerned about Doddy Sudrajat's report. However, she will still go through the legal process if the accusations made by Doddy Sudrajat are true.
"Now we just have to go through it. If they really want to take legal action, let's do it. But if it's just a warning, anyone can be warned. But if this has indeed reached the legal process, we will respect it and follow the legal process," said Ayu Wisya at Langit Entertainment, South Jakarta, Friday (20/1/2022).

Ayu explained that the viral video of her eating Padang rice was made in 2019. Initially, the video was made in the Minang language. However, in order to be understood by a wider audience, Ayu made the same video in Indonesian.
"Actually, I had already made a video of me eating like that while talking, I forgot if it was in 2018/2019 and it was in the Minang language. But because I uploaded it on TikTok, I used Indonesian so that more people could understand," she said.

Apparently, Ayu's comedy video immediately went viral on social media. However, the video she made had no intention of insulting or defaming anyone.
"Suddenly, when I released a video like that, it went viral. Actually, I had no specific intention to target, insult, or defame 1, 2, or 3 specific individuals," said Ayu.

Ayu explains that the viral video on social media was not made to insult anyone, especially not directed at Doddy Sudrajat. According to her, every video she makes on social media, whether on Instagram or TikTok, is not intended for a specific person.
"It's not meant to insult. Maybe some friends don't understand the Minang language, so I create content like being a mother with a child, that's just my imagination," Ayu said.
"So everything I convey is not aimed at one person. Anyone. It means if you feel insulted, it's your own choice to feel insulted. If you feel offended, it's your own choice to be offended. So I'm just doing comedy while eating," Ayu added.

Due to this incident, Ayu, who lives outside Jakarta, flew to the capital city to clarify the viral video that was said to have tarnished Doddy Sudrajat's reputation.
"I do intend to clarify it to the media, not to the other party. Because according to the summons letter, I should clarify and apologize there, but since I don't feel guilty and have no intention to offend, I just want to meet the media so that everything is clear," she said.

For now, Ayu herself remains calm even though Doddy Sudrajat has reported her to the Jakarta Metro Police for alleged defamation. In fact, Ayu continues to create comedy video content as she has been doing.
"That will still be my trademark, especially with jengkol crackers," Ayu concluded.
