Reported by Fish Seller to the Police, Eza Gionino Feels Confused

Kapanlagi.com - Eza Gionino can't believe it, Qory Supiandi reported him to the police accusing him of fraud and embezzlement.

Qory Supiandi is a seller of arwana fish who had a dispute with Eza, which led Eza to report Qory for receiving death threats. Now, Qory has turned around and reported Eza because the Arwana fish he sold has not been fully paid by Eza.

For Eza, the report from Qory seems baseless. According to Eza, there is no friend or relative of Qory who has demanded the remaining payment or asked for the fish in his house to be returned.

"What's funny is that no one has come to me demanding payment, anyone. It's different if someone comes and says, 'Za, please pay for the fish or return my fish,' and I refuse to pay or return the fish, then you can report it to the police. But there is no reason to report it to the police," said Eza in Jakarta, Tuesday (14/1).

1. Feeling Confused

Similar to Eza, Henry Indraguna as Eza's legal representative, also feels confused by Qory's report accusing his client of fraud and embezzlement.

"The chronology is like this, the promised fish (while pointing at a fish picture) has a good snout and good eyes. So, based on the agreement of the picture, Eza bought two fish for Rp12 million. Qory Supiandi asked for a transfer first and the remaining amount would be paid after the fish arrived. As the story goes, Eza paid Rp1.4 million, but the goods that arrived did not match what was promised. The snout was ugly and the eyes were drooping," said Henry.

"So where is the fraud and embezzlement? This is clearly a buying and selling of goods. There is a document showing a payment of Rp1.4 million and until today, my client has never said that he will not return the fish," he continued.

2. Regretting Qory's Decision

Henry also regrets Qory's decision to authorize a lawyer named Lissa V to report Eza to the Metro Jaya Police on Monday (13/1) with accusations of fraud and embezzlement.

According to Henry, before reporting to the police, Lissa V should have discussed the allegations of fraud and embezzlement against Eza in a peaceful manner.

"If I were Lissa, Qory's lawyer, I would have communicated first before filing a report. Just say whether you want the fish to be paid for or returned. Then we can find a common ground. For example, if you want to be paid, because the fish doesn't match the agreement, don't ask for Rp12 million. Basically, we mediate until we reach a deal. Problem solved. The issue is that there was no demand or request for payment, suddenly a police report was made accusing Eza of fraud and embezzlement," he regretted.
