Ria Ricis showed her dedication by attending the inauguration of the Kindergarten managed by her sister, Oki Setiana Dewi, in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, on Friday (24/1/2025). Despite being unwell due to dengue fever, Ricis forced herself to attend and support the event. Here are the details.
When met at the location, Ricis revealed her condition. “Well, we just have to stay healthy. Because I don’t want to know, right,” said Ricis with a smile despite her limitations.
Seeing her sister trying to be present, Oki also gave her support. “Until the IV drip, the IV was removed. After it was removed, she came here, just for a moment, yes we pray that Ricis gets well soon,” Oki said with a tone full of concern.
Ricis admitted that she was diagnosed with dengue fever after undergoing laboratory tests. Despite this, she remains spirited and tries not to spread her illness to others. “Yesterday I was examined and checked in the lab, it turned out to be dengue, that’s why I wear a mask so I don’t infect my friends,” she explained.
In fact, Ricis joked about her efforts to fight the cause of the disease. “I searched for that mosquito all the way to the ends of the earth, I searched for that mosquito,” she added.
Ricis's presence at the event actually contradicted the doctor's advice, which requested her to take bed rest. However, Ricis feels that it's normal for her to stay strong in facing various activities. “Reminding myself, it's already normal, just keep pushing through,” said Ricis briefly.
Oki, who accompanied Ricis, admitted to being worried about her sister's condition, which is still unwell. She actually wouldn’t mind if Ricis chose to rest at home. “Pray for us, we are actually worried, it’s okay if she doesn’t come,” said Oki, showing her affection for her younger sister.
After attending the event, Ricis revealed her plan to continue her journey to Jambi the following day. This further demonstrates her commitment to fulfilling her responsibilities even in less-than-optimal health. “Tomorrow I want to go to Jambi,” Ricis concluded briefly.
